the twin room was lovely and clean, and the beds were super comfy. the location is spot on for exploring the area and the staff were friendly. breakfast was nice and the parking was convenient.
the bathroom coulda used a bit more cleaning as there was some grime around, and the shower pressure was pretty weak.

Loved the riverside walks nearby, it was the perfect way to unwind! The staff were friendly, but I found the room a bit cold on arrival. Would return for the lovely atmosphere! 😊

mixed feelings, while the history fascinates, the service needs more than just good intentions, especially at breakfast
Charming location, lovely staff, and decent food.

It was just a commendable fit for an overnight stopping in Thetford with reasonable price. The room was clean with a huge comfy bed and fluffy towels. Bring your own snacks since the food options were somewhat limited.

Cozy stay with good food
Just stayed for 3 nights, and it was nice! The room was comfy and quiet, and I loved the fish and chips from the restaurant. The only bummer was the heater not working, but it didn’t ruin my time. Location’s fab too, everything was walkable.

great location but uneven dining experience
The location was convenient for local attractions, making it easy for our family to explore. The staff provided a warm welcome and were eager to assist throughout our stay, ensuring we felt comfortable.
The dinner experience was disappointing due to one meal being poor.

The dining scene is win-win with nearby gems like Rumbles Fish Bar for a cheeky bite and Cheers Restaurant serving up local favorites. Plus, I stumbled upon a lovely walk along the canal—an unplanned delight! That alone made my stay worthwhile.
The room was a bit ancient, with grimy vibes and music leaking in from below, making it hard to snooze. Paid a hefty £135 but breakfast was a cheeky £35 extra. a tired hotel needing an update, but there's charm hidden within.

Lovely staff, needs a makeover!
Checked in and immediately loved the friendly vibes from the staff. The room was clean, but old windows and a damp wardrobe smell were kinda off-putting. Dinner in the bar was okay, but my prawn cocktail had black avocado, yikes! Breakfast though? Totally made up for it—hot, fresh, and Lucy the waitress was a star!

Quaint hotel filled with character, ideally situated in the heart of town. The staff provided excellent service and the stay was enhanced by the charm of the old building. Breakfast was enjoyable, particularly the smoked fish, though the second day's timing mix-up was disappointing. Noise from outside in the second room affected our comfort, and there were initial issues with the shower in the first room.

Charming stay with some quirks
We stayed for 3 nights in a comfortable Double Room, featuring a unique historical charm that made our experience memorable. The breakfast had a great selection, but some items like the cooked options could have been served hotter. We loved the cozy bar area and the characterful ambiance of the hotel. the unevenness of the room flooring was a bit concerning, detracting from an otherwise pleasant stay.
